With the rare combination of the majestic harp and the passionate bandoneon, the duo Julie & Andreas have through approximately 225 concerts in 16 different countries established themselves as innovative with their diverse sound universe. After their combined 10/10 cum laude masters degrees in Rotterdam, they released their critically acclaimed album “With the Sky in Our Hands”, where they introduced an authentic tango voice for the harp. The album was premiered in Argentina at the world’s premier tango festival, receiving standing ovations from a sold-out hall. In 2019 they startet composing music inspired from their grandparents life and the result is a series of 3 albums called ENE, where two albums are released, «ENE Sildring» (2021) and «ENE Favn» (2023). This music distinguishes Julie & Andreas as music innovators, composing and performing sublime Nordic melancholic joy. Their concert program «In the Embrace of the Sea» is based on the series ENE and has been toured both in Norway and internationally. In 2024 the duo was invited to perform this program on Festival Mundial del Arpa in Paraguay, and in 2022 they performed at the World Harp Competition at the Dutch Harp Festival, winning both the Audience Award and the 2nd Prize.
